Injury caused by wheat burn

Abstract

Dog injured by wheat burn.

Short history: 

Wheatie burn. Dates from 30th December 2016 to 7th February. 

Management: Saline bath twice daily and applied Flamazine to affected areas. Cavilon cream applied to skin around affected areas. Pet shirt used. Two surgical debridement procedures taken place.

Species category and breed: Small canine, Jack Russell Terrier cross

Patient age and sex: 12, Female

Wound type: Burn, Iatrogenic Burn

Inhibitors present: Tissue deficit/movement
